Care Package for Eleanor in Probably Stolen
The free crate is a story decision. Inspect it before accepting the sender's explanation.
If you want to protect Eleanor's storyline, the documented route is to report the man calling himself her uncle while he is still at the window with the stolen crate. Do not hand the package to Eleanor simply because it is free. Delivery has been reported to trigger her arrest.
Story spoilers: this page explains the care-package decision and its immediate consequences. Later story endings are outside its scope.
Recognize the sequence of visits
The illustrated player walkthrough records Eleanor arriving to buy food, later buying household supplies, then offering some of her own belongings. A man claiming to be her uncle subsequently brings the Care Package for Eleanor.
That run places the package encounter on Day 28. Treat the sequence and dialogue as the important cues rather than expecting every modified or differently configured save to match a calendar screenshot. The broader community story reference also excludes Eleanor from Endless Mode.

Inspect the package before moving it
- Let the supposed uncle place the purple care package on the ledge. Do not rush to dismiss him.
- Hover the crate and read its name, ownership and stolen/heat information. The recorded encounter shows it as not owned and stolen despite the free price.
- Decide whether you want to report the sender while he is still present. The active visitor matters; waiting until another customer arrives is not the same action.
- For the documented protective route, hold Call Security while the supposed uncle is at the window. Complete the resulting conversation.
- When Eleanor returns, follow the warning conversation. The recorded branch offers a thank-you choice between a HydraTech Micro Water Purifier and L'ESSENCE perfume.
Compare the package choices
| Choice | Reported consequence | Evidence boundary |
|---|---|---|
| Report the supposed uncle | Opens the warning and thank-you branch | Illustrated walkthrough and community story reference |
| Give Eleanor the package | Her arrest; this can end that storyline | Release-player reports and community branch reference |
| Wait for heat to fall, then deliver | A player reports that she still refused it | An anecdote, not a verified repair for the branch |
| Keep or sell the crate | May dispose of the item, but does not prove a restored quest | Do not confuse inventory cleanup with a story reset |

Choose a gift that solves a current need
Our recommendation is to choose the purifier if a water-treatment tool would immediately help your shop. If you already have that role covered, compare the perfume with your existing inventory and likely use before choosing. The reward is useful, but the more important result is avoiding the delivery trap.
The thank-you visit is not necessarily the end of Eleanor's broader story. The community reference describes a later request for food when she has no money; turning her away can stop progression. Read her dialogue rather than treating every return as an ordinary sale.

Troubleshoot a stalled branch
If reporting a discrepancy, include the choice you made before the problem as well as the current dialogue. A screenshot of an empty counter alone does not show which branch the save is on.
| Situation | What to check |
|---|---|
| There is no ordinary sale in the panel | Inspect the ledge: the package is presented as a free story item. |
| The uncle has already left | The documented reporting window was while he was present. Check an earlier save if you want to revisit that decision. |
| Eleanor will not accept a cooled-down package | Do not assume heat decay resets story flags; that workaround is not established. |
| She was arrested | Check whether an earlier save exists before the delivery. No universal in-run recovery is verified here. |
| She has not appeared at all | Check mode, earlier dialogue and whether the branch was ended; avoid using a single day number as the only test. |
COUNTER QUESTIONS
Frequently asked questions
Should I report Eleanor's uncle?
For the documented protective branch, report the supposed uncle while the stolen crate and the sender are still at the counter. Eleanor later explains the deception.
Can I fix the choice by waiting for the heat to disappear?
That is not a verified fix. A release player reports that Eleanor refused the crate even after its heat had fallen.
Does selling the package complete Eleanor's quest?
Do not treat selling the item as proof of quest completion. Story progression depends on the branch; inventory disposal and the intended story outcome are different.
